Codes and Policies - Admissions & Withdrawals

1. Admission shall ordinarily be made with first month of the academic year.
2. According to government regulations no child below 5 years is admitted to standard one. Proof of the age must be supplied. Those above the average age of the class may not be admitted.
3. Pupils who come from recognized schools are required to bring Leaving Certificate from the last school they have attended. When admitted, pupils have to pay the entrance fee equivalent to a month's fee of the class into which he/she is admitted, along with school fee of the particular month and term fees.
4. On admission parents/guardians will be supplied with the school handbook, which prescribes rules of discipline.
5. Admission of pupils from unrecognized schools shall not be made on the strength of a leaving certificate. Applicant for admission from an unrecognized school shall submit an affidavit made by the parent/guardian and be subjected to a regular written test in all subjects .The applicant shall be admitted provisionally to the standard for which he/she is found fit subject to confirmation by the Educational Inspector. (Grant-in-Aid Code No. 23).
6. Admissions of pupils from other schools shall be made only if the leaving certificate of the pupil is counter signed by the inspector of schools in that state. Such pupils shall be subjected to a test and then placed in the standard for which they are found fit (Grant-in-Aid Code No. 21).
7. A candidate who joins fresh from home or from a private school has to produce an official birth certificate such as Municipal or Baptismal Certificate in support of the date of birth entered in the admission form.
8. One calendar month's notice is to be given before the withdrawal of the pupils or school fees till the month of application will be charged.
9. Parent/Guardians applying for leaving certificate must submit the application form provided in the school handbook .Leaving certificate will be granted only to those who have fully settled their fees.
10. No fees will be charged for leaving certificate if applied for within two years from the date of leaving the school. After this period, a fees of Rs. 5/- may be charged. Fees of Rs. 25/- will also be charged for the duplicate copy of leaving certificate.
11. Duplicate School leaving certificate will be issued only after producing an affidavit sworn in front of a magistrate, however the Principal's decision in this matter will be final.
